WHAT TO WEAR FOR A NIGHT OUT

It’s Friday and you have nothing to wear?  Here’s how to look your best, whether it’s for drinks with the girls or a romantic rendezvous.

Drinks: Cute tops to pair with jeans

When the night ahead is a long one, choose attire that’s cool and comfortable, yet far from everyday. Start with your skinny jeans and work up from there.  For a night at the bar, opt for strappy tops, or a flattering matte-jersey wrap top. Unsure of where he evening could go? Look for something with a little sparkle that will shimmer nicely at night and ad an extra element of glamour to an otherwise nonchalant outfit.

When the evening calls for swankier attire, wear tailored black pants and a dressy camisole. Finish off with accessories to add glamour, like a glittering clutch, a metallic belt or a pair of chandelier earrings.

Dinner: Outstanding Outfits for the evening

Go easy and breezy with flowing fabrics and flirty feminine cuts.  Wear something sexy like a delicately ruffled skirt with a  more structured top or vice versa.  Avoid going top-to-toe frilly or printed, to avoid looking like a bedskirt.  Accessories should be understated so they don’t compete with the detailing or pattern on your clothing. Think simple pearls and shiny stud earrings.

Don’t’ have time to coordinate an outfit? Nothing is as easy to throw on as a bright red dress.  All eyes will surely be on you and you’ll light up the night without even trying.

Photo op: Elegant attire for a fancy soiree

Ultra- formal affairs call for a floor-length gown. But don’t limit yourself to black. Pick a show-stopping color like a rich purple or emerald green and then make a grand entrance.

For most events, a chick black dress is your go-to solution. And don’t think you need to stick to basic black either.

Attending a cocktail party? If you want to stand out from the sea of dresses that you’ll be mingling with, opt for a flattering streamlined suit in sateen or for the winter months, velvet.
